Article IV, Section 1, of the PEA Constitution mandates
that "(t)he officers of this organization shall consist of a
President, a Vice-President, a Recording Secretary, a
Corresponding Secretary, and a Treasurer." a. The nominating committee shall present a slate of nominees for the various elected offices at the March meeting of the Executive Committee. This slate shall be made available to the general membership within one (1) week of its presentation. |
Section 2. Supplemental nominations may be made by
forwarding a petition containing the names of the nominee(s)
along with the signatures of 5% of the active membership to
the chairperson of the nominations committee. This
supplemental nomination must be received no less than one
week prior to the date of the April General Membership
Meeting. |
b. The elected officers are encouraged to attend Executive Committee meetings upon election and will take office July 1 following the election. Section 4. Terms and Succession b. Should a vacancy in office occur between elections,
the President shall, with the approval of the Executive
Committee, appoint a successor to fill the office until the
next general membership meeting at which time a special
election shall be held to fill the unexpired term. |
