A message from our President-elect

Barbara Alderfer

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and encouragement. I am looking forward to July 1 when I will officially become your president. We are so fortunate to have representation from different areas on our executive team. Debbie Carty, an elementary teacher, will be our vice president. Chuck Nowalk, a high school teacher, will be our recording secretary. Nadine Anderson, representing special services, will continue as our treasurer. Marilyn Shober, a paraprofessional, will be our new corresponding secretary. We have made a commitment to work together for our members. We are here for you!

Our district's first belief is that 'Every person is important and is entitled to respect, understanding and appreciation for his/her uniqueness' Don't we also believe that? We should be respected, understood and appreciated - all of us. We are exceptional individuals who bring a wonderful uniqueness to this district and the PEA. We need your help to move forward. Do you have ideas or suggestions for the executive team? Are you willing to help on a committee? Would you like to be a building rep or attend NJEA workshops and trainings? Are you interested in attending school board meetings? Make your talents, concerns, and questions known to the officers and your PEA building reps. Open communication is a key to our strength and effectiveness.

  Thank you so much. Barbara
